Without further ado, let’s find out more about our Bossley Park home renovation

Before the Bossley Park Renovation: Cramped & Contained

Before the renovation, this Bossley Park home had plenty of potential, but the main living areas weren’t making the most of it. While the house itself had solid foundations, the kitchen was small, tired, and lacking practical storage.

The adjoining dining area was another major pain point. It felt disconnected from both the kitchen and the outdoor deck, making everyday living and entertaining more difficult than necessary. Overall, the layout restricted movement and made the home seem more closed-in than it should have.

The Client Brief: Improving Flow, Space and Storage

Like many Sydney homeowners, our clients wanted more space, better flow, and a home that suited their current lifestyle. With careful planning and the right renovation team, they achieved exactly that.

Key goals included:

  • Improving flow between indoor and outdoor areas
  • Increasing kitchen workspace and storage
  • Creating a more open, light-filled living environment
  • Designing a space that worked for both daily life and entertaining

This was the third project we had completed for this client, but as with every renovation, we approached it with fresh eyes and careful consideration.

Designline’s Renovation Approach

Our team began with a complimentary in-home visit and measure, taking the time to understand how the family used their space and what wasn’t working. Rather than forcing a new layout, we worked with the home’s existing structure to achieve the best possible outcome.

After the initial site visit, we presented a tailored renovation concept that addressed the client’s brief and enhanced the home’s natural flow. The clients were confident in the approach and keen to move forward.

Scope of Renovation Works

The renovation works included:

  • Extending the kitchen area to improve flow, storage, and workstation space
  • Structural modifications to internal walls, external door, and windows
  • Installing new tiled flooring from the front entry through to the kitchen and rumpus room to create a clear visual flow throughout the home
  • Combining two rooms into one with a new partition wall
  • Merging two existing windows into a single, larger window to create a cleaner, more open feel
  • Enlarging the opening to the outdoor deck with a new stacker door, enhancing the indoor–outdoor connection

Each element was carefully planned to ensure the finished space felt cohesive, functional, and effortless to move through.

After the Bossley Park Renovation: Light, Space, Storage and Plenty of Flow

The finished renovation has completely transformed how the home feels and functions. The new open-plan kitchen renovation is modern, spacious, and filled with smart storage solutions, making it a pleasure to use every day.

The dining area now flows naturally from the kitchen and opens directly onto the outdoor deck, creating an ideal space for entertaining. The addition of a servery window has further strengthened the indoor–outdoor connection and made hosting family and friends even easier.

The result is a home that feels lighter, more spacious, and perfectly suited to the homeowners’ lifestyle.

A Smooth Sydney Renovation Experience

Thanks to thorough planning and clear communication from the outset, this renovation ran smoothly from start to finish. By identifying potential challenges early, our team managed the build efficiently and minimised disruption for homeowners.

From demolition to completion, the entire project was completed in just eight weeks, which was a great outcome for a renovation of this scope.

Why This Bossley Park Kitchen Renovation Worked

  • Careful planning and clear communication from day one
